PulseStack™

PulseStack™ REST API Integration

Powerful Monitoring Integration at Your Fingertips

Our comprehensive REST API empowers developers to seamlessly integrate uptime monitoring capabilities into their applications and workflows. Whether you're building custom dashboards, automating incident responses, or managing monitoring infrastructure programmatically, PulseStack™ provides the tools you need.

Access complete control over your monitoring setup through our intuitive API endpoints. Retrieve detailed monitor statistics, configure new monitoring targets, manage notification preferences, schedule maintenance periods, and customise public status displays—all through simple HTTP requests.

Authentication Methods and Security Keys

PulseStack™ employs HTTP Basic Access Authentication to secure API access. We provide three distinct authentication approaches to match your specific integration requirements:

  • Full Account Access Keys: Complete administrative control across your entire monitoring infrastructure, enabling all API operations on every monitor within your account
  • Individual Monitor Keys: Restricted access tokens that permit data retrieval exclusively for designated monitoring targets via the getMonitors endpoint
  • Read-Only Access Keys: Limited permission tokens allowing data fetching through all available get* endpoints without modification capabilities

Locate your authentication credentials within the Integrations section under the API category in your account dashboard.

Data Structure and Response Handling

All API responses are delivered in standardised JSON format, ensuring consistent data parsing across different programming languages and frameworks. This structured approach simplifies integration and reduces development complexity when building applications that consume PulseStack™ monitoring data.

Usage Limitations and Fair Access Policies

To maintain optimal service performance for all users, PulseStack™ implements intelligent rate limiting based on subscription tiers:

  • FREE Subscription: Maximum 10 API calls per minute
  • PRO Subscription: Dynamic limit calculated as monitor quantity × 2 requests per minute (capped at 5,000 requests per minute maximum)

When rate limits are exceeded, the API responds with HTTP status code 429 along with informative headers:

  • X-RateLimit-Limit: Your current rate limit threshold
  • X-RateLimit-Remaining: Available calls within the current time window
  • X-RateLimit-Reset: Unix timestamp indicating when the rate limit period expires
  • Retry-After: Recommended wait time in seconds before attempting subsequent requests
